Supporting the healing endeavors of all individuals practicing Reiki in the Midwest

Reiki Stacking Technique

Much as the yin-yang symbol foretells, tragedies that seem to tear the very fabric of our community apart can also serve to bring us together. They stop us in our tracks and remind us of our interconnection on the spiritual level and fill our hearts with loving compassion.

With the loss of so many young lives recently from the school shooting in Connecticut, we all suffered together in spirit and sent prayers and thoughts. We’re sure many of our level II Midwest Reiki Community (MRC) members also sent distant Reiki to those affected. It was at this time that a technique called “Reiki Group Stacking” was shared with us which we learned is more effective in sending Reiki to groups impacted by emergency situations than a general distant healing approach. The technique was developed by John Harvey Gray, the longest-practicing Reiki Master in the West and one of the original 22 Reiki Master Teachers trained by Mrs. Hawayo Takata.

To help our members to send Reiki healing energy with greater impact to those affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy as well as to facilitate group healing on our planet in general, we are grateful to Dr. Lourdes Gray, the Director of The John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing, for allowing us to share this technique.

Reiki Group Stacking:

For Reiki II practitioner or higher

  1. Select a group to work on (i.e., the children, the injured, the families, the close friends, etc.). You do not need to know their names. Your intention to connect with the group is sufficient.
  2. Next, decide what commonalities the group members share. The more commonalities the group shares, the stronger the Reiki absent treatment will be.
  3. Raise your hands to your forehead, palms facing out. Focus your thoughts on one of these groups standing in front of you. This will attract the group’s thought-form to your hands. The thought-form will always take the shape of a human, regardless of what or who the group really is. When you feel the energy of the group’s thought-form at your hands, place your hands on the thought-form’s forehead, and say HSZSN three times. Then, draw the symbol HSZSN on the thought-form’s forehead. Do this only once, followed by a CKR, also once. This will capture the thought-form of the group and keep it there for you to treat.
  4. Now that you have captured the group’s thought-form, you can start the absent treatment. Follow standard Reiki absent treatment procedures. Remember, the families of the dead and injured, as well as close friends of the victims are in shock over what has just happened. Please open the SHK channel in the second Reiki pattern (the head) and give them a mental/emotional treatment during the absent Reiki session.

The John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing is located in Jaffrey, New Hampshire and offers a full range of courses and other resources related to Reiki. Established in 1996 by John Harvey Gray, one of the original 22 Reiki Master Teachers trained by Mrs. Hawayo Takata, the center is now run by Reiki Master Teacher, Dr. Lourdes Gray, the sole successor and lineage bearer in The John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing. Dr. Gray teaches a more advanced version of the Reiki Group Stacking Technique in the Center’s Reiki II Advanced Class.
