Supporting the healing endeavors of all individuals practicing Reiki in the Midwest

Anticipation was in the air as people wandered into the Midwest Reiki Community’s most recent gathering. “How will we come to meet our Reiki guides and angels?” we wondered. What will they be like? Will we be able to see them, talk with them, reach out and touch them? Will they be people we know already, or will they look like strangers to our conscious minds? Will they have messages for us? Will our Reiki practice change as a result?
After quenching our thirst with some home-brewed Ayurvedic tea made with sacred basil, the group of 18 sat down to get some answers to our questions. Tracey Ostrand, co-founder of the MRC, began by opening the Akashic records, explaining that doing so would help to facilitate the trip we were about to take to connect to our spirit helpers.
We then got comfortable, fastened our seat belts, and closed our eyes. Tracey led us through a deep and powerful meditation that allowed each person present to experience their own journey in a safe and energetically powerful atmosphere. After physically relaxing our bodies, we were led through a journey into our hearts that led us to three doors. We were encouraged to open each door and experience whoever or whatever was behind it, taking our time to experience the connections and healing that were taking place within each of us.
After we were led safely back into the physical space in which we had gathered just a short while before, we took time to reflect. Specific experiences were varied, from receiving visual information, to experiencing deep levels of healing, to seeing colors, to getting answers to questions. Feedback from some of the attendees included, “Words can’t really describe the feeling, but it was lovingly awesome!” and “Wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. Felt safe and supported.” The only downside, as one participant pointed out, was that we had to return from the journey.
But not to worry, for more healing was on the agenda, of course; this was a Reiki Share after all! So share Reiki we did, in pairs and small groups spread out on mats and blankets throughout the room, regrouping once again afterward to swap stories. We even photographed the group sending Reiki toward the camera with the intention that anyone who views the photo and wishes to receive Reiki can do so; more on that soon. 🙂
